Description
The Contract Specialist will assist the U.S Marshals Service’s (USMS’s) Office of Procurement with various contract types of Government contracts. This position will liaise with Federal Employees, Contractors, and Divisions throughout the U.S. Marshals Service
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must undergo a Background Investigation (BI)
Responsibilities:
Conduct contract reviews, assist in cradle-to-grave operations, call order modifications, and close-outs
Will be required to input contracts, task orders, and purchase orders into the Unified Financial Management System (UFMS)
Assist Government contracting officers with large and small purchase contract actions
Review solicitation packages for completeness
Advise and provide program offices with examples of documents to be contained in a solicitation package
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with at least 24 hours of business credit
Recent Federal Contracting Officer/Specialist Experience is required
Contract Close-Out experience is required
At least four (4) years of related working experience demonstrates that the candidate meets the above-mentioned duties and responsibilities
Must possess advanced knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR 8, 12, and 15)
FAC-C Level II or DAWIA Level II preferred
