We are looking for an Application Engineer that will join our team in Falls Church, Virginia. You will be working closely with our integration partners to define project scope and schedule, design the right solution, create and submit CAD drawings (training provided), oversee the installation and commissioning of the system and train customers on all aspects of the system. You will also interface with the product development and QA team to provide feedback from the field and evaluate/test new features and functionality. The ideal candidate will have the experience or technical foundation needed to become a subject matter expert in our solutions and support customers through design and successful deployment. The position involves up to 20% travel to customer sites in the US and Canada.



Responsibilities

  • Become a subject matter expert on Kastle’s video products and solutions.
  • Design video surveillance systems that incorporate best practices and video analytics.
  • Advise with setup and tuning of video analytics systems.
  • Design and document interfaces of video cameras with access control, alarm panels and audio.
  • Manage commissioning and field installation for large projects and ensure it meets performance standards.
  • Train users on system operation and maintenance procedures.
  • Diagnose field equipment and provide guidance for troubleshooting.
  • Participate in product improvement, development and testing


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering, Science, IT, or related field
  • At least 2 years of experience with Windows PC installation, assembly and diagnosis
  • Experience with communication equipment such as switches and routers with in-depth knowledge of IP networks
  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain VA DJCS or equivalent security professional registration is required.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting, problem solving and time management
  • Highly organized with superb customer service mindset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
