This position exists within the Oregon Center for Career Development in Childhood Care and Education. Position Summary
This position will provide support to the programs within the Oregon Center for Career Development in Childhood Care and Education. The purpose of this position is primarily data entry with some written and spoken customer service.
Minimum Qualifications from Classification
Completion of courses or training in Office Technology; OR
One year of general clerical experience which included typing, word processing, or other generation of documents; OR
An equivalent combination of training and experience.
Additional Minimum Qualifications for this Position
  • Experience with word processing, data input and customer/public information service.
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel).
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-project office environment.
  • Ability to understand and work with a variety of programs and individuals.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year dedicated data entry experience.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience or proven knowledge of the child care field.
  • Bilingual communication skills – English/Spanish, Russian, Vietnamese and/or Chinese

The starting salary rate for this position will be between $16.60 and $17.80 per hour. The starting salary may be negotiable above this range, however it will be dependent upon the knowledge, experience, skills and abilities of the chosen candidate, the budget of the hiring department, and approval from HR.
