We are currently seeking a Audio-Visual(A/V) Technician to join our team in Lemont, Illinois (US-IL), United States (US).

Job Responsibilities Include
NTT DATA is providing Managed Services support in the areas of audio-visual management for our client based in Lemont, IL. This position is for an AV Specialist will be responsible for various task of AV operations and maintenance.

AV Specialist Job Duties:
Event Support:
• Operates multi-media equipment
• Professionally interacts with clients and manages expectations.
• Responsible for all technical aspects of production and setup, ensuring picture, sound and lighting quality
• Configures and troubleshoots video teleconference
• Receives notification of planned/unplanned events, determines requirements and install/operate high- quality audio distribution, sound reinforcement in support of the event; schedules and maintains the calendar for conferences, and associated peripheral and administrative support required for each
• Tests systems to ensure equipment and room functionality
• Escalates issues to the next level if unable resolve issues
Installation and Maintenance
• Use company approved installation methods and techniques
• Ensure all work complies with company policies, procedures, standards and conventions
• Assure each system's physical completeness is in accordance with installation drawings
• Comfortable working with other trades and mentoring less experienced technicians.
• Terminate, test and label network, audio and video cabling
• Assist with testing of system components to assure system completeness
• Ability to train end user on AV systems.
• Proficiency with VTC setup and commission.
• Competent using test equipment.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills to the component Level.
• Process all project paperwork including field reports, billing logs and time sheets.
• Performs maintenance and inventory of audio-visual equipment and on permanently-installed audio systems

Required Qualifications:
Argonne is a highly complex environment and as such a minimum level of experience for any position should be equal to or greater than the following:
• Minimum of 1 years' experience with live events in a corporate environment.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience with configuration & installation of audio-visual systems.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience witha minimum of 50% of the following equipment and protocols.
Crestron, Extron, AMX, Biamp, Shure, Audio-Technica, Projectors, Televisions, Computers, Networking, Win10, Mac, Light Linux, 365, Teams, Zoom, Webex, Vidyo, HDBASET, DANTE, Low voltage wiring, Cabling, Terminating, Soldering, Audio Mixing, Audio Setup, Microphones, Audio Mixers, Signal Extenders, VTC, Web Conferencing, TCP/IP, H.323, SIP, G.711, G.729, Cisco, Polycom, Lifesize, Bluejeans Rooms, Zoom Rooms, WebEx, Adobe Connect, Vidya, Digital Signage, AVoIP, audio mixing consoles, audio distribution systems, sound reinforcement systems, digital/analog audio recorders, Audio & Video including signal flow, equipment functionality, control, and programming.
• Willingness to work after office hours and during week ends
• Ability to safely use hand/power tools, run cable, solder, crimp, and compress the vast array of AV interfaces & connectors. Good knowledge / experience in cabling and networks is required Demonstrate excellent work ethic, dedication to schedule commitments, and a high focus on customer service and satisfaction
• Demonstrate excellent client facing, presentation, interpersonal skills and familiar with and apply the tenants of written and oral communication
• Math, written and oral communications, Outlook, Word, Exec, knowledge of ITIL is a plus.
• Must be a self-started with the ability to work to deadlines; manage multiple concurrent tasks; by following instructions; work independently and think outside the box.
• Must be able to read and interpret designs, instructions, wiring schematics, architectural drawings, and project printouts.
• Must be able to stand, kneel and crouch for long periods of time.
• Must be able to climb ladders, able to lift in excess of 50 pounds, work in high, cramped, hot humid and/or cold places.
• Must be able to maintain the following attributes while under pressure from deadlines: technical capability, professionalism, self-motivation, self-discipline, focus and attention to detail.
• Must be able to maintain a safety-minded approach to all activities.
