Resident Care Manager / RN Manager - Military veterans preferred

Overview:

The Village at Victory Lakes is hiring for a Resident Care Manager for our Skilled Nursing Community.  The Resident Care Manager / RCM is responsible to ensure the highest quality of care is always maintained.  This position reports directly to Director of Nursing.

Location: The Village at Victory Lakes, 1055 E Grand Ave, Lindenhurst, IL 60046 - – approx. 8 miles from Six Flags in Gurnee, IL

  Hours available in Skilled Nursing   

• Fulltime:  Days   

  Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise the day-to-day nursing of the unit.
• Assist in informing the nursing associates of new admissions, arrival time and ensure the room is ready for the new admission.
• Review nursing notes to ensure they are informative and descriptive of nursing care being provided and they reflect the resident’s response to care.
• Maintain the confidentially of all resident care information.
• Make daily rounds of the unit to ensure all nursing service associates are performing their work assignments in accordance with the acceptable nursing standards.
• Engaged in growing our staff, helping them to succeed and hold accountable for nursing requirements and responsibilities.
• Member of QAPI, various other nursing meetings to track and improve quality at our community.
• Ability to partner with other departments, Infection RN, Wounds, MDS, Admissions, Life Enrichment, and Social Services.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Illinois for 5 or more years
• Experience as a supervisor in a LTC (long term care) is preferred
• Training in restorative nursing, MDS, wound care, and infection control
• Ability to work in fast paced environment
• Must enjoy working with the senior population
