JOB SUMMARY:

A seasonal position with the responsibility of creating looks and styles for different projects throughout the season from theatrical shows, fantasy characters, and holiday themes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Involved in daily Wardrobe Department operation. The Wardrobe operation provides distribution, cleaning, and repair of all characters and shows-related costumes. The department includes the operation of the laundry, costume shop, and sewing room.
  • Pattern garments and oversee construction/repair to character and show related costumes.
  • Inventory management and organization of characters and show costumes.
  • Collaborate with other Entertainment supervisors on new projects and goals.
  • Evaluate employee performance and correct any behavior.
  • Sanitize and maintain equipment, supplies, and cleanliness of workstations and areas.
  • Other duties as assigned by Management. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Be at least 21 years of age or older with a valid Georgia Driver’s License.
  • Knowledge of sewing machinery including sewing and cutting equipment, and laundry equipment
  • Sewing-related problem-solving skills
  • At least 3 years experience in garment production work construction
  • Must be able to modify show costume designs required, however ability to draw original costume designs is preferred
  • Outstanding leadership, team building, and motivational skills. High standards and expectations.
  • Good instincts, analytical skills, and a hands-on management style.
  • A positive, action-oriented focus in the areas of Guest service, employee relations, and safety. A willingness to support park-wide initiatives.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and Holidays.
  • React well in stressful and emergency situations.
  • Strong visualization and organizational skills.
  • Time-management skills to effectively handle multiple projects at once.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Communicate effectively in the English language, including the ability to read, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Maintain energy and enthusiasm while working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be safety conscious, while also outgoing with a friendly demeanor.
  • Computer proficiency with an emphasis on Microsoft Office Products.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to perform various physical activities, such as lifting and carrying items
  • Continued standing and bending.
  • Eye/hand coordination, near vision, hearing, and speech. Manual dexterity, gross motor skills, arm stamina, and color definition.
  • Stand/walk for up to 6 hours at a time and as many as 14 hours a day; walk over 3 miles per day over various surfaces.
