Responsibilities – Assistant Service Manager

 

  • Oversee an existing team of Service Advisors and Lane Team, to ensure that customers have an outstanding experience
  • Ensure that customer cars are fully evaluated by our Technicians, and that our Advisors are performing to the peak of their capabilities. 
  • To help ensure that work is properly dispatched to the technicians, and completed in a timely manner.
  • Perform the traditional aspects of a Service Advisor, including the following
  • Greet customers and inspect their vehicle
  • Conduct all business with sincerity, honesty, and genuine concern for customer
  • Listen to customer’s reason(s) for bringing their vehicle to the service department
  • Consult with mechanics regarding necessary repairs and possible alternatives to expensive repairs
  • Using your knowledge of our products and services to sell or provide in-depth information about available parts and service options to customers
  • Provide customers with information and advice on warranty protections, potential cost savings and the advantages of trading in versus fixing their car
  • Follow the status of the customer's vehicle from service bay entry through completion of work
  • Act as a liaison between customers and our Service Technicians
  • Upon completion of work, review work order with customer to assure all concerns are addressed
  • Maintain positive customer relationships to ensure repeat business
  • Other duties may be assigned


Qualifications – Service Advisor:

 

  • MUST have prior experience as an Assistant Service Manager or a Top Performing Service Advisor in a dealership or independent repair facility 
  • CDK experience is a plus!
  • A strong understanding of automotive technology and the automotive industry
  • Great customer service and communication skills
  • MUST  be a great team player, the success of the team is paramount!
  • Strong organizational, decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Works well in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional appearance and a positive attitude
  • Good work ethic and computer skills
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
