Summary:
The RedBuilt™ manufacturing plant in Stayton, OR produces engineered wood joists, laminated veneer lumber (LVL), and assembles job packages for delivery. We are looking for Day Shift, full-time associates, Friday through Monday (Friday and Monday, 6am to 2pm and Saturday and Sunday, 6am to 6pm). Some overtime hours as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Minimum Qualifications):
- 5 years of Forklift Mechanic/Millwright experience (required).
- Previous Rolling Stock Mechanic, Lumber Industry, Wood Products or LVL (laminated veneer lumber) (a plus).
- Maintains rolling stock, hydraulic, pneumatic equipment, LVL Presses, and I-Joist line.
- Fabrication, welding and cutting.
- Order parts and maintain all equipment.
- Repair and maintain all aspects of diesel, gas and propane powered rolling stock equipment, including rolling stock, tractor, and forklifts.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks and period inspections on production machinery and equipment. Lubricates and cleans parts. Adjusts devices positions and controls.
- Adheres to safety rules and ergonomic practices.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED (a plus).
- Basic computer skills; MS Word, Excel, Outlook (a plus).
- Use computerized system for work orders and timesheets.
- Must have good communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to frequently walk, sit, and/or stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to occasionally bend, squat and/or stoop.
- Manual and finger dexterity as required to perform daily job duties.
- Frequently works near or around moving mechanical parts.
- Exposed to a high level of noise in the work environment.
- Exposed to airborne particles.
- Work environment Wood processing, manufacturing operation.
- Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions, including variations in temperature and precipitation.
