Position Summary
The Wyoming Naturalist Banding and Outreach Tech position combines community-based research and an opportunity to conduct basic conservation biology and environmental education. Two major activities are involved: (1) assisting outreach staff at the Audubon Rockies with educational programming and (2) conducting bird banding/outreach activities in public and private lands throughout Wyoming and Colorado. Other fieldwork may include point counts, area searches, and nest searches. Educational outreach will involve assistance with the community naturalist program. The selected candidate will be asked to capture and create content to share their summer experience with the Audubon Rockies communication team. Work is from early morning till midday 3-4 days per week, followed by daily data entry when applicable, totaling approximately 24-3224-32 hours per week.
This role is remote and based out of Casper, Wyoming, and the position requires travel. A rental vehicle will be provided for any field travel.
Compensation:
$15.00 / hour
