Job Details:

The Roberts Academy at Mercer University invites applications for a full-time Student Support Services Associate.


Responsibilities:

The Student Support Services Associate typically serves as the first point of contact for students and their families. This position will maintain the school's student information system and provide consistent, confidential, and administrative support for the Head of School and other staff, while maintaining a professional demeanor and playing an integral role in the day-to-day operations of the staff and the student body.

The successful candidate will promote the school’s mission and positive culture, making it the center of all decisions and actions while supporting an atmosphere of trust and openness among teachers, students, and parents. The successful candidate is expected to provide general clerical duties and administrative support to the school and receive and welcome all visitors with a smile and in a professional manner. Managing and maintaining personnel documents, parent directory, school calendar, scheduled events, supplies, materials, and reports will be regular tasks. In addition, answering the phone and delivering messages with pleasantry and professionalism is essential. The ideal candidate will enjoy multi-tasking, serving others, and assuming responsibility for other projects as assigned by the head of school.

Qualifications:

Required:

A high school diploma or GED and two years of administrative support experience to include customer service and the use of multiple computer applications are required. An equivalent combination of education and directly related work experience will also be considered.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Working Knowledge of FACTS or other student information systems software

  • Experience with and knowledge of dyslexia and other language-based learning disabilities

  • Experience in education or as an assistant to a school administrator

  • Warm and personable with a good sense of humor and considerable patience

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills

  • Dedication to a high level of confidentiality

  • Exceptionally capable in both written and oral communication
