GENERAL PURPOSE

Assist in the completion of the day-to-day activities, involving the repairing and maintaining of the building/facility, equipment and machinery including building lighting systems, CNC machines, passivation lines, ovens, grounds keeping, security and overall facility appearance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.

Observes and listens to operating machines or equipment to diagnose machine malfunction and determine need for adjustment or repair.

Dismantles machine or equipment to examine parts for defect or to remove defective part.

Replaces defective part with new part or repairs the part.

Analyzes electrical performance of machines through the use of electrical test equipment.

Has an operator test machine to verify correction of malfunction.

Maintains and lubricates machine tools and equipment.

Maintains maintenance schedules and logs.

Responsible for performing lockout/tagout.

Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.

Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.

Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.

Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.

Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.

Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Associate degree or equivalent in machine maintenance; or 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred: A minimum of 4 years related experience in a manufacturing environment with CNC Machine maintenance and repairs.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

Knowledgeable of OSHA requirements.
Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
Strong ability to multi-task, prioritize and adapt to shifting priorities.

Exceptional problem solving and decision-making skills and the ability to think independently.
Must pay attention to detail.

Able to prioritize assignments, work with people, negotiate, analyze problems and translate company needs into actions necessary to achieve the goals.

Ability to read blueprints.

Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
