RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL:  

The DX Ducted Systems BE group has prioritized its E-Commerce sales channel as a critical growth engine for the business. Reporting to the senior manager, E-Commerce Platform Architecture and Development, the Magento Web Developer will be responsible for maintaining Ducted Systems E-Commerce Magento 2 platforms while developing and expanding their features and functionality.   
 

 PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
 

  • Develops, upgrades, and supports multiple responsive E-Commerce websites based on business needs and requirements.
  • Help maintain existing Magento 2.4.5+ EE E-Commerce platforms and develop updates to HTML, CSS, JS, APIs, and backend databases.
  • Develop APIs while maintaining the integrity of data structures. Integrated with ERP and reporting tools.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve systems defects and/or issues.
  • Create and advance theme integrations/customizations.
  • Familiarity with debugging and optimization tools; ability to perform quality assurance tests and ascertain the cause of the problem when performance does not meet standards. 
  • Follows defined processes, methodologies, and procedures and completes all coding documentation.


WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :

  • Minimum of 5 years of practical B2B experience in full-stack Magento PHP web development.
  • High level of competency in Magento 2, PHP, JS, MySQL, and SOAP/REST API creation/integrations.
  • Skilled in transforming designs into semantic and concise HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Expert in server-side programming with PHP, AJAX, JavaScript, jQuery, and Web Services.
  • Experience in developing offset microservices modules integrated that can integrate into Magento 2.
  • Expert in writing and optimizing SQL statements with knowledge of database indexes.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills. 
  • Ability to work inside existing team processes and code structures.
  • Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Be willing to challenge traditional wisdom and advance innovative ways of addressing business challenges and resolving problems.
  • Familiarity with distributed architecture & async processes.
  • Open to pair programming.
     

 OTHER EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :

  • Fluent in English

EDUCATION: 
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience. 
  • Adobe Certified Professional - Magento Commerce Developer (Preferred)
