About the role

The objectives of this position is to manage and maintain the Orica site, plant and ancillary equipment operation in accordance with the service level agreement, corporate and regulatory standards. The incumbent will be responsible for the implementation of the Orica SHES requirements, as well as complete adoption of Orica Quality programs. Also to assist in providing a quality service of bulk explosive delivery to customers in a safe and environmentally conscious manner at all times.
Schedule: 14 x 14 (12 hours shifts)
Location: Sudbury/Hemlo, Camp (Company vehicle and lodging provided)

What you will be doing

  • Technicians responsibilities are to support customers in daily maintenance of equipment and loading.
  • Support customers training requirements.
  • Calibration of pumps.
  • Understand electrical & hydraulic schematics drawings
  • Basic knowledge of working hydraulics.

What you will bring

  • Valid G license.
  • Must be flexible to customer demands including scheduling.
  • Mechanically inclined, ability to source replacement parts.
  • Reliable and dependable.
  • Considerate personality to adapt pleasantly in the presence of customers.
  • Success in pro-actively working in a team environment to ensure efficient operations.
  • Ability to prioritize various projects, ongoing daily task’ and high priority situations to maximize efficiency.
