Job Details:

Mercer University's TRIO Program is searching for an Assistant Director, Student Support Services.


Responsibilities:

The Assistant Director of Student Support Services assists with overseeing federal TRIO Student Support Services projects at Mercer University. This includes being responsible for the supervision, training, and evaluation of student staff; assisting with program development, fiscal and grant management; maintenance of student service data; maintenance of appropriate records of participants, activities, and eligibility; assisting in the preparation of federal annual program reports and proposals for grants. The Assistant Director will directly supervise approximately 10+ student staff. This position reports to the Director of Student Support Services.

Qualifications:

A master's degree in student affairs, public administration, social work, education, or a related field and two years of outreach experience or teaching experience (combined), which at least one of those years which must be in providing support for the administration and management of programs serving students that are first-generation, economically disadvantaged, and/or have a disability. Candidates should have grant management experience as well as experience supervising staff.

Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be insurable by the university's carrier.
