Cobb EMC has an exciting opportunity for an Azure Architect who will be responsible for providing expertise and driving the design, implementation, and management of cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure within the organization. This role plays a crucial part in shaping the overall cloud architecture, ensuring it aligns with the business and technical requirements.

ResponsibilitiesWhat you will be doing:
- Design, implement, and administer Azure-based solutions to meet the organization’s business and technical requirements.
- Migrate systems from a local environment to an Azure based system while maintaining security, reliability, and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and define cloud architecture strategies.
- Develop and maintain Azure infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on Azure best practices and emerging technologies.
- Conduct regular system audits and implement optimizations for cost efficiency.
- Keep abreast of emerging technology/industry trends in the cloud as it relates to the position and propose new patterns and standards as required.
QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in solution architecting.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing principles and best practices.
- Proficient with Azure cloud-based administration.
- Proven work experience as a Cloud Architect or similar role working in hybrid or multi-tenant cloud environments.
- Proven experience conducting regular system audits and implementing optimizations for cost efficiency.
- Proven experience in DevOps practices and Continuous Integration / Continuous Deliver (CI/CD) pipelines, automation, and scripting.
- Proven ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and translate business needs into detailed systems designs.
SKILLS:
- Effective oral and written communication skills; people skills for interaction with various employees/groups.
- Experience with hybrid cloud environments and migrations.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision, provide “situational” leadership and work collaboratively.
- Demonstrated ability to appropriately manage confidential information.
- Ability to work off hours/shifts and/or on-call as needed/required.
PREFERRED:
- In-depth knowledge of Azure services, including but not limited to Compute, Storage, Networking, Security and Monitoring.
- Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
- Familiarity with Azure Automation to enhance cloud management.
- Experience with budgeting, cost control, and resource allocation in cloud environments.
- Ability to bridge technical knowledge with mature business discussions.
