The Department of Psychology at the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for a part-time instructor to teach one 3-credit face-to-face undergraduate course (“Death and Dying”) during the Fall 2024 term (beginning August 26, 2024 and ending December 14, 2024). The appointment is for one semester. Required qualifications are an advanced degree in Psychology or a related field such as Social Work, and expertise in the topic of Death and Dying, as demonstrated by professional specialization, graduate training specialization, or previous teaching. The application should include a brief cover letter addressing the candidate’s qualifications, the candidate’s CV, the candidate’s teaching portfolio, and the names and contact information of three references. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.

Teaching Portfolio: includes teaching statement (experience, philosophy and interests), teaching evaluations. and sample materials (syllabi, etc.)
