Overview

American Management Association ("AMA") is looking for a Graphic Designer to conceptualize, design, develop and execute compelling visual solutions across print and digital channels to effectively create, extend and communicate the AMA brand, support marketing objectives and meet AMA’s overall goals. Graphic Designers, collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop visually captivating concepts--in print and digital formats--that resonate with our audience, drive engagement and convert prospects into customers. Graphic Designers must have a keen eye for detail, a flair for creativity and thrive in a dynamic environment.



Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities include:

  • Conceptualize and implement designs for print and digital formats including but not limited to direct mail catalogs, booklets, brochures, postcards, advertisements, sell sheets, flyers, emails, web assets, social media advertisements and slides.
  • Lead production and execution of formatted print materials leveraging imagery and content to showcase products and offerings.
  • Produce and format assets for digital campaigns applying consistent brand and messaging across all channels in accordance with latest specifications.
  • Deliver innovative, dynamic creative with strong call-to-action placement, typography, and design elements.
  • Work cross-functionally with traditional and digital marketing teams and product to understand and meet campaign strategies and goals.
  • Implement feedback and edits to projects.
  • Prepare print-based work for production.
  • Provide consistent, quality work while maintaining high productivity.
  • Communicate with front-end developers as needed.
  • Participate in creative brief meetings to understand strategy, creative direction, and campaign plans.
  • Other related duties as needed.


Qualifications

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Design, Visual Communications or related field required.
  • Online portfolio for review is required.
  • 3-5 years design experience including print and digital output.
  • Experience in the Adobe Creative Cloud including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat (experience in Animate, Premiere and After Effects a plus).
  • Experienced in multi-page catalog production including page layout and information design.
  • Knowledge of techniques and standards in printing process.
  • Experienced in digital design asset creation (including video ads) for online advertising, email, and social media.
  • Experience with creating wireframes and UX design a plus.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely through typography, graphics, use of color, layout, and design.
  • Demonstrate keen interest in new technologies plus latest marketing and design trends.
  • Ability to manage and track projects through project management application.
  • Travel in accordance with business need.
