The Continuous Improvement Specialist will be responsible for assisting with various Lean Systems activities to accomplish improvements that are consistent with company goals and objectives. This position is in an environment that is heavily focused on material handling, manufacturing, and assembly – from when materials arrive at Receiving until the product is picked, built, tested, and shipped. KHA is one of the lead producers of crane components in America and is also the Headquarters for Region Americas. This is a full-time position.
• Identify inefficiencies and implement projects to optimize performance.
• Assist in the company’s lean initiatives (KC Way) as needed.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing work instructions following ISO 9001 guidelines.
• Actively participate in weekly Gemba Walks and complete necessary actions resulting in them.
• Manage the 5S program.
• Other duties/projects as assigned.
• Must be willing to work daily and weekend overtime as needed.
• 1-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment OR entry level Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, or something similar.
• Ability to learn and be self-motivating.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Strong project management and hands on abilities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, root cause analysis, time management, and teamwork skills.
• Strong technical skills in manufacturing, Lean systems, statistics, and MS Office.
• Must be able to work independently
