Job Summary
We seek a highly motivated, skilled, and experienced water/wastewater engineer to join our team. As a professional engineer, you will assist in analyzing, designing and managing the construction of water and wastewater treatment, pumping, and collections systems. Responsibilities

  • In this role, the selected applicant will work on large-scale water and wastewater treatment facility and collections systems projects, ranging from studies and rehabilitation to green-field installations.
  • Assist with managing projects, starting with development of the initial project design concept, development of a project plan (including preparation of project schedule & budgetary cost estimates)
  • Assist with coordinating the work of engineers, designers/draft persons and sub-consultants throughout the project’s execution.
  • Perform hydraulic calculations for wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, and collections systems utilizing closed pipe and open-channel hydraulics.
  • Perform calculations to properly size water and wastewater treatment structures and equipment.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to develop reports, technical memos, plans, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.
  • Assist in the preparation of quantity take-offs and construction cost estimating.
  • Preparation of technical documents for regulatory compliance.
  • Stay updated on industry standards and regulations related to wastewater discharge limit.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate electrical, structural, and architectural designs into pump station and treatment plant design.
  • Coordinate with public utilities and permitting agencies.
  • Provide technical support during construction activities.
  • Travel to project sites for preliminary site analysis or construction observations activities.
  • Be responsible for project quality on tasks assigned as defined in the Quality Assurance / Quality Control guidelines.
  • Attends client meetings - days or nights.



  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil, Mechanical or Chemical engineering from an accredited four-year college or university
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer in the state of Texas or ability to transfer license within 6 months of hire.
  • 4+ years of experience in the field or a related area.
  • Detailed understanding of concepts of wastewater treatment and collections systems.
  • Detailed understanding of closed-pipe and open-channel and hydraulics.
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D experience preferred.
  • Revit and ArcGIS software experience is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportations to attend client meetings and perform site visits.
