We’re looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, IT for our office in Alpharetta, GA. The position is fulltime, working across our Alpharetta office and Atlanta data center. You’ll join an awesome team to support our growing customer base.

About the Role

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will independently provide planning, troubleshooting, installation, configuration, and upgrade support for all servers and storage and will proactively review infrastructure capacities against business (future) requirements. This position will be responsible for developing practical and innovative ways to identify and meet goals. They will also be responsible for work that is less defined in scope and will have the understanding and experience to execute business objectives. This role has the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals and the ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to provide high levels of customer service, with proven experience resolving technical issues within a corporate computing environment.

In this role you will:

• Independently manage performance operating systems, ensuring all applicable enterprise infrastructure is monitored to quality expectations.?Proactively responds to alarms in a timely manner; Knows when to escalate and who to engage for assistance.
• Provide planning, troubleshooting, installation, configuration, and upgrade support for the virtual environment using VMWare, vSphere 8, VCF and Tanzu (including vCenter ,ESXi hosts, VM guests,etc.) in a timely and professional manner with some guidance. Ensures all IT policies, procedures and service level agreement are adhered to.??
• Have good working knowledge of the enterprise data center, servers and storage, infrastructure systems, networks and applications to complete their tasks on time and to quality expectations. Proactively works on continuing to develop their knowledge.
• Build a plan and take ownership for the plan to drive it to completion to integrate acquisitions into the Aptean IT environment on time and to quality expectations.?
• Identify any patterns or issues or lessons learned and proactively shares them with the appropriate parties to build them into future acquisition planning.
• Seek out opportunities to continue to enhance automation efficiencies across the enterprise.

About you:

This role typically requires 5+ years of datacenter infrastructure experience with a bachelor’s degree; VMware certifications preferred.

To be ahead of the pack, you might have:

• Excellent Technical Skills and Knowledge in VMware vSphere (VCP preferred), PowerShell/PowerCLI, VMware and Microsoft Cloud solutions.
• Strong Virtual Infrastructure experience to include networking troubleshooting and design at both the physical and virtual switch layers.
• Excellent communication, problem solving and project management skills.
