Overview

Sev1Tech is seeking a MBSE Modeling Engineer to support the Program Executive Office (PEO) Manpower, Logistics, and Business Solutions (MLB) which manages the Logistics (LOG) Information Technology (IT) portfolio using CAMEO Systems Modeler (CSM) in SysML/UAF/DoDAF 2.0 format. This portfolio is composed of 300+ afloat and ashore IT systems/applications with 150,000+ users across all Naval Systems Commands (SYSCOMs) and Naval Operational Forces (NOF) to include ships, carriers, submarines, USN/USMC aviation squadrons, and Naval Expeditionary Forces. The United States Coast Guard (USCG) is a joint user of LOG IT capabilities and is part of the program requirements. LOG IT enables essential business operations for various capability groups.

This role will support the delivery of the following to the LOG IT Portfolio: the integration of common capabilities, data, and support services, improvement of service performance and reduction of operational costs through the reduction/elimination/automation of duplicative services, capabilities, and data sets, and an Integrated Platform and DevSecOps Pipeline, and Continuous Capability Modernization, Deployment, and Support (CMDS).

*Position can be remote; travel 10-20% as needed by client

Reporting to the Chief Architect, the MBSE Modeling Engineer will participate in the following action items:

  • Use Model Based Systems Engineering to create and maintain system requirements and network engineering artifacts
  • Develop MBSE approaches in the areas of systems, telecommunications / networking, information systems, software systems design and cyber security, and other domains
  • Implement current processes and methodologies being utilized on programs for the development of program level data threads and system models
  • Develop the architecture for integrated systems and test model
  • Oversee all modeling activities, set run rules for model development
  • Create traceability for complex electronic systems requirements
  • Perform trade studies on a variety of system issues and components
  • Present results during internal and external program meetings
  • Performs other duties as required


Responsibilities

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant degree; without a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 yrs experience will be required
  • Minimum Active DoD Secret level clearance
  • 4+ years of experience in a related engineering field applicable systems engineering experience
  • Experience using CAMEO Systems Moder (CSM)
  • Experience developing SysML/DoDAF 2.0 diagrams and documents for enterprise archtiecture
  • Previous experience in an MBSE environment
  • Experience with requirements definition, flow-down, and traceability
  • Intermediate knowledge and experience with UML, SysML, and related OMG Specifications and tools
  • Proficient with MBSE tools (Cameo/Magic Draw)
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
