We are currently searching for a talented Civil Engineer III to join and grow with our Civil team!

Your options as a civil engineer are endless at SEH. You'll engineer better communities -- complete streets, safer sidewalks, more sustainable utilities, and trails and parks. Others specialize in large-scale projects, like flood control facilities, dams, landfills, harbors/marinas, structural retaining walls and larger geotechnical projects. Regardless of the project, you'll have your hands in the mix through all phases of a project: planning, pre-design, design, contract documentation, bidding and construction. Duties May Include:

• Client service management
• Project management
• Project scoping and contracting
• Production of construction plans and specifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
• Registered as a Professional Engineer
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, MicroStation and proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications
• This role is open to candidates currently residing within 50 miles of Des Moines, IA or candidates willing to relocate to that area

Preferred Qualifications:

• Registered Professional Engineer in the state of Iowa
• A minimum of four (4) years of experience would be preferred for this role
• Previous experience serving as a design engineer or project manager for multiple city infrastructure projects
• Ability to develop new business opportunities and win project work
• Previous project management, design and construction administration experience of Civil/Municipal projects including site improvements, streets, drainage and utilities
• Experience in preparing project plans, specifications and bidding documents
• Previous experience in project proposal preparation and client service management
• Previous experience leading a staff of engineering professionals
• Ability to coach and mentor junior level technical staff and Graduate Engineers
