POSITION PURPOSE
As a Controls Service Manager, you will lead our controls service team in delivering exceptional service and support to our clients. Leveraging your expertise in building automation systems, you will oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of service operations to ensure client satisfaction, operational efficiency, and profitability. In this role, strong leadership, technical proficiency, and a customer-centric approach are essential.
Compensation Range: $100,000 to $120,000 per year plus generous manager profit share.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support customer accounts for all service customers to ensure outstanding customer satisfaction and that customer expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Resolve customer issues in a timely, effective, and professional manner.
  • Identify additions to service agreements, upgrades, and escalations on service projects.
  • Utilize Fault Detection and Diagnostic software and other tools to meet customer needs and improve system efficiency, comfort and maintenance requirements.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains labor plans and ensures coordination of materials and equipment for jobs as needed.
  • Assumes a lead role in quality assurance of service delivery to maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction and the delivery of a high-quality customer experience.
  • Work with sales staff to effectively and profitably meet or exceed department sales and profit objectives through accurate job scope and cost identification.
  • Provide effective supervision and efficient scheduling of technicians coordination with all department activities.
  • Provide support to department personnel as required, available after hours as needed.
  • Visit jobs in progress to provide training and technical support to field personnel.
  • Provides and support departmental needs for recruiting, retaining, training, and educating direct technical reports.
  • Ensure OSHA compliance for areas of responsibility.
  • Coordinate with other departments to maximize joint manpower utilization and minimize unallocated time.
  • Assure that no work is performed outside contractual obligations without compensation.
  • Direct and supervises pull through work from maintenance agreements.
  • Assist with ongoing forecasting for personnel, equipment, vehicles, tools and materials and assist with procurement and supervise equipment care.
  • Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors Degree preferred, although candidates with an Associates Degree or commensurate combination of education and experience will be considered
  • 7+ years of technical experience in customer management, quotes, quality visits, and work order management, HVAC Controls and/or Mechanical Systems
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and willingness to accept responsibility and accountability.
  • Strong customer service and analytical skills in solving software and integration challenges.
  • Ability to motivate and develop a team of technicians, energy engineers and support staff.
  • Possess interpersonal, leadership, computer, communication and management skills
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to drive improvements and optimize control system performance.
  • Possess good organizational and planning skills
  • Mechanically oriented with a complete understanding of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems, control systems, building automation, electrical systems, energy management, engineering, installation, management, and construction procedures
  • Extensive knowledge of dispatch, job cost, HVAC mechanical and electrical systems, controls, safety practices
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor teams
  • Knowledge of LONGs operations and infrastructure, as it pertains to construction operations and its stakeholders
  • Ability to travel within area of responsibility. Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Valid drivers license
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
  • Expert programming and troubleshooting skill with KMC, Distech, Tridium/Honeywell, and other equivalent systems
