A day in the life of a New Home Consultant

As a New Home Consultant (NHC), your days are filled with teamwork and partnership as you help prospective home buyers navigate the first steps of the sales process. When home buyers begin their online search for a new home, you will be their first point of contact. You will spend a significant portion of your day communicating with these prospective buyers over the phone, email, and chat channels. Because you have such a great level of understanding of the Stanley Martin product, you will be able to investigate buyers' needs and provide relevant product and neighborhood information. Your goal will be to schedule appointments for them to meet with our on-site sales team, where the sales and contracting process will continue. Other parts of your day will include collaborating with the marketing and division sales teams to provide feedback on leads, improve website listings, and implement strategic outreach to achieve appointment and sales goals, all in a remote working environment.

What is Stanley Martin looking for in a New Home Consultant?

The ideal New Home Consultant candidate is organized, detail-oriented with a strong understanding of the sales process, a team player, technology savvy, and can remain cool under pressure. The candidate knows how to respond to objections and keep the sales process moving forward. Being able to communicate clearly and build strong relationships is imperative to the success of this role.

Must Haves:
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred
  • Experience in sales or lead management
  • Excited to collaborate in a team environment
  • Exudes active listening, confidence, and respect when communicating with others
  • Demonstrates excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to learn various technologies utilized on the job

Martin Alloy and Stanley Halle created Stanley Martin in 1966 in the Maryland suburbs outside of Washington, D.C.
