The Opportunity

As a Senior Scientist joining the Process Development team within Recombinant Product Development, you will be responsible for the development of state-of-the-art protein purification processes for different recombinant products in accordance with the requirements for Good Scientific Practice (GSP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).  

The Role

• In this role, your main responsibility is to plan, perform, evaluate and document downstream protein purification experiments according to current scientific rationale and regulatory / internal guidelines and quality standards.
• Ensure accurate and precise data acquisition, collation and analyses for all protein purification activities using statistical tools such as DoE concepts and risk-based approaches such as QbD concepts.
• Actively seek new opportunities and manage the establishment of new technology and new systems for the purification of recombinant therapeutic proteins.
• You will be responsible for being the technical lead in operational and organizational collaborations with other departments and external partners.
• You must be a strong team player openly sharing expertise with other stakeholders in a global, fast-paced and highly matrixed work environment.

Your Skills and Experience:

• University Degree in a relevant field of Science (e.g. Master of Science in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, bioengineering, process engineering)
• Professional experience in relevant technical methods (especially regarding protein purification) and project management
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
• 1-3 years of relevant post graduate experience
