We seek a skilled HRIS Director to lead US LBM's strategic utilization of Workday, collaborating closely with our HR Centers of Excellence (COE). This role is responsible for overseeing the implementation, optimization, and ongoing maintenance of Workday with a focus on developing and maximizing the application's potential to align with our business processes and effectively meet business objectives for the HR function. This includes streamlining processes while ensuring accurate Human Capital data in Workday and driving innovative approaches to Workday utilization.

What you will do:

  • Consult with Division HR Directors and business partners in various HRIS and payroll-related areas.
  • Designs short-term and long-term strategies for continuous improvement in payroll/HRIS, including paperless, self-service, r ecruiting, and performance management solutions.
  • Partner with third-party vendors to develop and maintain critical integrations.
  • Corroborates with the acquisition team on HRIS and payroll conversions during pre- and post-acquisition activities.
  • Configuration and Customization: Oversee and deliver configuration and customization of Workday modules to meet specific business requirements, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions. Help develop training to educate users on Workday HCM functionality and best practices. Also help with change management initiatives to drive user adoption and maximize the system's benefits.
  • Solution Design: Partner closely with Human Capital stakeholders (Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Talent Development, Human Resources, Compensation & Payroll) to understand their business needs and deliver an innovative approach of Workday utilization that aligns with organizational goals and objectives. Provide ongoing design guidance, ensuring the full potential and capability in configuring Workday solutions to adhere to best practices, maximizing the Team Member experience, and providing accurate employee data.
  • Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams: Works collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including all HR Centers of Excellence, to ensure the successful delivery and adoption of Workday HCM solutions.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for Workday HCM to align with organizational Human Capital and business objectives, ensuring the system supports current and future needs.
  • Data Management and Reporting : Overseeing data management processes within Workday HCM, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Audits : Assist with providing data for internal audits.
  • Product Enhancements: Leverage knowledge and expertise of Workday solutions by continuously monitoring for updates and emerging industry trends to incorporate the latest advancements into solution design that create streamlined and efficient processes and maximize the Team Member experience.


Education Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field Preferred



Experience Qualifications:
  • At least five years of hands-on experience with Workday and a track record of leveraging technical expertise to improve processes configure integrations, and drive system optimization. Workday HCM certification is highly desired.
  • Project management skills.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, and coaching a team of HRIS/Workday professionals.
  • Ability to analyze issues and problems systematically, gather broad and balanced input, draw sound conclusions, and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Approach challenges with a creative and inquisitive mindset, always seeking new and better ways to enhance individuals' effectiveness in their work.

Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to travel and perform according to the position's requirements (up to 15%).
  • Experienced working within a Shared Services environment.
  • High level of organizational skills working with large volumes of information.
  • Experience with advanced Excel pivot tables and HR reporting capabilities.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with employees at all organizational levels.
  • Resourceful and able to work efficiently even if given minimal direction and information.
  • Able to effectively multi-task and handle multiple projects.
  • Exercise sound judgment when making decisions and be willing to ask if unsure.
  • Able to meet deadlines as necessary. Strong Attention to Detail skills.
  • Exceptional Communication Skills, both verbal and written.
  • "Can-do" attitude and proactive.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office applications.
