The Advanced Power Architectures team is seeking a motivated, experienced Power IC designer to provide support to our CTO office located at ADI's Wilmington, MA headquarters. Join an industry-leading innovator in analog and power circuits and develop next-generation technology solutions for consumer, medical, industrial, and automotive applications. Apply your education and industry experience to solve problems that matter. Engage with a collaborative team of highly skilled engineers to deliver innovative products that can impact the world. This opportunity has a focus on developing next generation technologies and disruptive solutions in the power management space.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Design high-performance power converter ICs including DC-DC converter/controller (buck, boost, LDO, charge pump)
  • Design complex CMOS/BCD analog circuitry such as high-precision voltage references, low-noise high PSRR LDOs, high-precision oscillators, comparators, error amplifiers, sense amplifiers, drivers
  • Model DC-DC switching regulators' AC small-signal behavior.
  • Present design documentation for review by peers and supervisors
  • Validate circuit performance in the lab.


Minimum qualifications
  • MSEE degree with direct experience, or PhD degree, with focus on power conversion circuits and IC design.
  • Strong intuitive and analytical understanding of magnetic structures and field solutions
  • Academic coursework and lab experience building switching power converters.
  • Strong foundation in circuit design and analysis, including both analog and power circuits.
  • Silicon-level design/simulation/verification experience
  • Strong laboratory experimentation and troubleshooting skills.
