How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Job Description Summary: The Demand Planner will be responsible for developing and maintaining a 24-month rolling forecast for the bulk product lines. This role will be essential to the business in analyzing the statistical and value-add forecasts that will influence major decisions such as financial targets and capital investments. This forecast is expected to improve product availability, optimize inventory levels throughout our bulk supply chain, and improve efficiencies throughout our internal operations.

Forecasting and Planning
  • Implement manual forecast trend adjustments based on value-add from the business. Build and maintain a rolling 24-month forecast. Validate trends for the top 80% of the volume for each product line.
  • Review and inform the business of Forecast Accuracy/Bias trends along with development and execution of key corrective action plans. Work closely with Sales, Product Management & Supply Chain Leaders to build assumptions and gain demand plan commitments.
  • Utilize multiple computer-based tools such as our ALTO scheduling software, SCADA plant storage data, PI Vision, PowerBI, and telemetry


Logistics Optimization and Data Management
  • Build and maintain standard work of demand plan and forecast improvements to be used across the organization internationally that drive the Budget and Financial Forecasting plans for Airgas. Execute monthly S&OP meetings for the respective product line.
  • Develop and execute a history cleansing process. Maintain data validation and data integrity of new customers, obsolete customers.
  • Execute monthly S&OP meetings for the respective product line. Constant collaboration with cross-functional teams to gain business insights.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in supply chain, logistics, operations management, mathematics or related field, required
  • 5 years of experience in Demand Planning
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets
  • Advanced knowledge of Google applications & Smartsheets, able to save and maintain electronic files Ability to operate custom supply chain software (ALTO, Plant Information)


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Supply and Inventory balancing
  • Experience in Power BI
  • CPIM, CSCP or PMP certification
