Eaton's IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Mechanic B - 2nd shift.
The hourly rate for this position is $26.00 - $30.60 per hour. The hours for second shift are as follows; 1:45 pm - 10:15 pm.
Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
What you'll do:
Primary Function:
The Facilities Maintenance Technician will be repairing, installing, adjusting, or maintaining industrial production and processing machinery and hydraulic distribution system with minimal supervision.
Essential Task:
- You will be responsible for repairs to the physical plant and all related equipment. Assuring that all machine tool repairs are within manufacturers guidelines.
- You will collaborate with operators to observe, test, and evaluate operation of machinery and equipment to diagnose cause of malfunction.
- You will fabricate replacement parts. You will weld to repair broken metal parts, fabricate new parts, and assemble new equipment.
- You will perform test-runs on repaired machinery and equipment to verify adequacy of repairs.
- You will examine parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear.
- You will also clean and lubricate parts, equipment, and machinery.
Qualifications:Required Basic Qualifications:• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution is required
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of hydraulic and mechanical equipment.
• Relocation is not offered for this role. Candidates must reside within a 50 mile distance of the Los Angeles, CA facility (zip code 90039) to be considered.
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Preferred Qualifications:• Trade or Technical School certificate or equivalent preferred.
• Aerospace experience
Skills:ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Must be prequalified to work on defense projects, per the state department ITAR regulations.
