RESPONSIBILITIES:
Obtain working knowledge of ProLift heavy lift and specialty rigging equipment in order to provide solutions to customer needs.
Function as the lead designer of new tools and equipment for the heavy lift and heavy transport industry
Develop fabrication drawings and perform design calculations according to company and industry standards.
Develop load test plans and participate in field testing activities for newly designed equipment.
Develop documentation for new and existing gear including specification sheets, operating instructions, maintenance requirements, test certificates, repair procedures, cost summaries, spare parts lists, etc.
Perform field walk-down assessments of job sites to facilitate office layouts of jobs in Auto-CAD to perform heavy lifts/transports.
Develop and ensure compliance with Engineering processes.
Perform minor design calculations and develop details under the direction of a senior design engineer (from time to time)
Function as field technical liaison for critical lifts – includes risk management functions and safety evaluations of projects.
Provide project engineering support to contracted work as assigned by Manager.
Develop, review, and update operational support material as needed. I.e. SOP's and Qual Cards
Attend ProLift sales and operations training events as needed.
Launch and maintain engagement sessions with Sales, Branch Engineers, etc.
Participate in daily Sales Bid Review sessions.
Develop and maintain onboarding process for future engineers.
Project engineering support includes, but is not limited to, the following:
Design parameter and method statement creation
Equipment layout drawings
Steel design and load-bearing calculations
On-site engineering support as needed during the execution stage of the project.
Meet opportunity and/or project deliverable dates as set by Sales/Project team and Manager
Individuals will be expected to complete ProLift Specific, Regulatory and Identified Equipment training through our internal LMS system.
Individuals may be asked/required to complete 3rd party and customer required training to gain on-site access.
Other duties as assigned/requested.

Required Qualifications:
An understanding of servant leadership principles
Ability to multi-task and exhibit flexibility in job duties
Excellent communication skills and the ability to coach others
5 years experience of Civil/Structural or Mechanical Projects
Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD along with spatial thinking ability
FEA software proficiency and project engineering experience
Familiarity with steel design codes
Familiarity with welding design codes
Analytical, detail oriented, organized
Experience with rigging, preferred
Experience with cranes, and heavy transport preferred
Education:
Bachelor’s degree Civil/Structural or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
