Job Summary

A Process Engineer performs and leads process and/or mechanical design of oil and gas production and midstream facilities, including new installations, upgrades and retrofits to existing onshore and offshore facilities.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

(Assignments will vary depending on the nature of projects received from clients and candidate's applicable work experience, expertise and proficiency.)

· Develop Design Basis criteria from piecemeal client information;

· Recommend, develop and evaluate alternative processing concepts;

· Perform process simulations and develop process flow diagrams with stream tables;

· Develop P&IDs or mechanical flow sheets;

· Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure an integrated design that meets project requirements;

· Gather data, including production data, product specs and site condition data;

· Perform sizing calculations for process equipment, piping, in-line instruments, valves, and pipelines using company developed tools;

· Develop written engineering reports and recommendations;

· Prepare equipment specifications and data sheets;

· Prepare specifications and data sheets for instruments and specialty items;

· Coordinate procurement activities and evaluate bids;

· Review and approve vendor quotations, drawings, and related submittals.

· Projects that the Facilities/Process Engineer could be involved in include:
o Oil & gas production, gas processing, gas treating, and related processes and utility systems
o Domestic and International projects
o Onshore and offshore projects
o PreFEED conceptual design and selection studies, Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and Detailed Engineering (DE)

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

· Must have a BS degree or higher in Chemical or related Engineering degree with demonstrated process expertise;

· Requires minimum of one (1) year with less than five (5) years' experience in engineering design and/or project management of offshore oil and gas facilities;

· Requires experience with process simulation using HYSIS;

· P.E. License registration preferred;

· Field experience in operations and/or construction a plus;

· Familiarity with all engineering and design requirements (process and production equipment, etc.) for projects, including client provided specifications and all applicable codes and standards;

· Requires knowledge of codes and standards associated with oil and gas production facilities and equipment installations (e.g. API, ANSI, ASME, NFPA);

· Experience in gas plant design and/or Oil & Gas production systems preferred;

· Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

· Must be able to lift and carry 20 pounds.
