Position Summary

This position is on-site in Alexandria, VA

National Capitol Contracting (NCC) is seeking an energetic, exceptionally organized Technical Services Manager to join our dynamic team of professionals on a full-time basis to support a major federal agency just south of Washington, DC.

The Technical Services Manager’s primary responsibilities include ensuring the smooth planning and execution of IT and Collaboration service delivery to on-premises and remote federal workers, oversight of Tier 1 and 2 service managers, coordination of maintenance and upgrades to technical systems, and participation in enforcement of security policies.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 4 year degree in related field
  • 5+ years’ total professional experience in a related management role.
  • Experience working with vendors and organizing business activities, contracts, renewals, invoices, and billing-related items.
  • Knowledgeable about IT activities, with a higher level of understanding of IT service management concepts such as incident management, request management, and change management -However, there is no need to be an expert as long as you are open to asking questions and finding answers to better understand the activities of the Agency.
  • Competence with productivity applications such as Office 365, Teams, ITSM platforms like Remedy or ServiceNow, Project, Visio, or Agile tools to perform work duties and produce reporting.
  • Experience working with vendors and organizing business activities, contracts, renewals, invoices, and billing-related items.
  • Effective and sound decision-making skills.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with strong leadership, who can develop and lead a new initiative from the ground up and thrive in ambiguity.
  • Passion for execution and getting things done.
  • Solid technical background and ability to quickly understand technical designs, challenges and risks. Experience breaking down complex problems and driving decision making.
  • Strong analytical abilities, able to create & monitor metrics, proactively identify growth opportunities & incidents.
  • Strong written, verbal communication skills and comfort in communicating nuanced, and often technical, concepts to internal stakeholders or external partners.
  • Ability to influence teams & drive alignment among multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating and driving efficient processes at scale.
  • Can navigate the company culture and organization to build working relationships with internal stakeholders across multiple disciplines.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, manage your time, and organize your schedule to optimize productivity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in either IT, Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration a plus.
  • Public Trust Clearance.

This is a full-time position. NCC offers a competitive compensation packages: hourly rate is commensurate with experience. Benefits include medical, dental, flexible spending, three weeks accrued Paid Time Off (PTO), paid federal holidays, and 401(k) with company match.
