Summary

The Production Manager evaluates, analyzes and supervises day to day operations of the hollow metal, wood door, aluminum fabrication, shipping/receiving, inventory and all scheduling for installation including pre-installation of hardware, outside sales and total door service. Uses computer technology, mathematical, financial and accounting skills to compare actual vs. budgeted results, assisting with other administrative and managerial duties as required.

Essential Functions

  • Maintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process in each department; monitoring personnel and resources; reassigning; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
  • Accomplishes staff results by communicating daily job expectations; assigning, planning, monitoring and appraising job results; coaching, and disciplining employees, enforcing policies and procedures to complete product ion plan.
  • Sets and maintains quality control by enforcing organizational standards
  • Oversees cycle counting of inventory with comparisons of reports
  • Responsible for approving work hours and to resolve any payroll issues. Approves leave and overtime. Responsible for yearly reviews.
  • Develop and oversee compliance with corporate safety program
  • Oversee company's compliance with OSHA regulations
  • Other relative duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associates Degree, or an equivalent combination of education/experience
  • Current and valid US drivers license
  • At least 5 years in the construction industry with experience working with commercial doors, frame and hardware

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience working in Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Must have excellent oral communication skills and positive interpersonal skills
  • Great attention to detail required
  • Goal oriented and driven
  • Proven record of supervising personnel
  • Accurate mathematical and accounting skills

Work Environment

This job operates primarily in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. May occasionally require business travel.
