Title: Inventory Control Manager

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

The inventory manager is responsible for owning the legitimacy of the finished goods inventory levels across the distribution network, implementing, and enforcing controls to ensure this. This role is a key function of operations, ensuring accurate financial statements and operational reporting - and will report directly to the Vice President of Distribution & Logistics.

Establish a reliable and consistent cycle count program:

  • Organization of detailed schedule within our Irvine Distribution Center.
  • Segregation of DC areas for adequate inventory risk control and count recurrence.
  • Ownership of internal resources and staffing to ensure adequacy of the program.
  • Reconciliation and resolution of variances, including subsequent controls.
  • Development of monitoring reports to identify delays and/or inconsistent results.
  • Regular communication of advancement, risks & opportunities to executive management.
  • Main collaborator with external audit partners throughout the fiscal year and particularly during year-end inventory controls.

Ensure smooth Daily Operations:

  • Receipt vs. PO variances control.
  • Missing & extra inventory research.
  • Identification of potential shipping errors, web order shortages.
  • Resolution of negative on hand inventory and investigation of cause, including the trigger of manual cycle count if necessary.
  • “Return to Stock” credit memos from customer refusals or restocked invoiced goods due to credit issues.
  • Establishment of 3PL Partner Inventory Reconciliation Program, including the creation of SOPs, PO variance guidelines & reporting, cycle count triggering programs.

Inventory Levels, Aging & Control.

  • In collaboration with operational and finance teams, establishment of clear guidelines for inventory aging and depreciation guidelines.
  • Executes appropriate action to clearly identify inventory in both system and physical locations, in accordance with guidelines.
  • Is a proactive voice in the identifying of underlying opportunities within inventory position and on hand quantities.

Month End / Year End Controls

  • Walk the warehouse for month end Sales and Inventory cutoff controls.
  • Work with Logistics Distribution and Invoice team to review and approve cut-off reports for month-end close.
  • Prepare month end inventory valuation reports for the accounting team.

WH Transfers:

  • Collaborate with Operations team in the correct execution of any Warehouse Transfers, ensuring these comply with correct visibility and inventory tracking standards.
  • Maintain control of inventory in every warehouse, collaborating with operations to ensure proper documentation and inventory movements are accounted for and adequately monitored.

WH Sale:

  • Conduct old season inventory sweeping by variety of thresholds, to identify potential product write-offs. Executes these operations in liaison with Finance Department.

Has a deep understanding of operational procedures and processes. Is an agent of change in the conducting of daily operations with relation to inventory handling.

Works with internal IT team & WMS developers, to ensure adequate inventory reporting and product visibility are obtained from both ERP, WMS and 3PL partners.

Collaborates with DC Management to ensure WMS User permissions & controls are correctly set for all warehouse users, including new & experienced workers, supervisors, office clerks and management.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance / Supply Chain, or at least 4 years in inventory experience.
  • Apparel industry experience is highly desirable.
  • ERP and WMS software experience, particularly Full Circle and Manhattan Scale Solution.
  • WMS operational experience is desirable.
  • Fluency in English. Spanish language is a plus.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional environment and ability to manage the activity of cycle counting team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Manage time to meet deadlines while remaining organized, detail-oriented, accurate and thorough.
  • A work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations.
  • This position requires working out of our Irvine, CA facility.
  • This position may require lifting boxes, up to 50lbs.

Liberated Brands is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role in Costa Mesa, CA is $70,000 - $85,000. This position is Hybrid and, as such, compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by several factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skill set, certifications, and specific work location.
