Description
We are seeking a Psychologist Technician (Psych Tech) to support the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) at Ft. Liberty. As a Psych Tech, you will work closely with psychologists and other mental health professionals to provide psychological support services to personnel within USSOCOM.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must have aTop Secret security clearance.
Responsibilities:
Present a professional image to all candidates and customers
In support of the unit’s Assessment & Selection (A&S) program and professional development/coaching programs, administer psychological tests, compile data, and prepare reports for psychological testing under the supervision of a licensed psychologist.
Conduct in-person psychological testing with groups ranging from one person to groups of up to 100 personnel
Configure a testing room to accommodate candidates in a way that maintains test and process security
Maintain and make ready all supplies and equipment required for psychological testing and section operations. Perform functions tests on equipment prior to event execution to ensure operability
Maintain test security and physical security on all psychological testing equipment and psych measures
Maintain a computerized database of all data collected by the section
Qualifications:
A minimum of ten years’ experience as a Psych Tech within Department of Defense or equivalent Government agency
Associate degree with 12 semester hours in psychology
Education requirements may be met by military or comparable training
If military trained, the individual’s specialty must be as a mental health technician / specialist
Completed psychological technician training that includes a sound foundation in psychological assessment and human behavior that also addresses the basics of conflict management and how to de-escalate crisis situations and individuals who are agitated, violent or potentially violent and/or suicidal
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology
USSOCOM experience
