Position Summary

Responsibilities

  • Create, analyze, document and test system and subsystem designs
  • Develop and maintain Product and Technical Roadmaps
  • Support Business Development activities including customer briefings, support and/or leading technical sections for proposals for large Government or commercial RFPs
  • Travel: ~20%
  • 10+ years of defining, analyzing, and validating wireless communication requirements spanning user data network processing through RF
  • 5+ years of requirement definition, decomposition and compliance risk assessment utilizing trade studies, analysis, simulation, and lab data collection
  • Broad knowledge of the end-to-end SATCOM ground station architecture from the physical layer through the application layer
  • Working knowledge with SATCOM waveforms like DVB-S2X and/or 5G NTN 3GPP Rel 17/18
  • Demonstrated experience supporting multi-disciplinary, cross functional and matrixed teams
  • Strong communication skills and experience presenting to customers and senior leadership; ability to effectively work and communicate with all levels of management and customers
  • Master’s Degree in communication theory or equivalent disciplines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)
  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance, or the ability to immediately re-activate an inactive clearance

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of digital IF streams such as VITA 49.2, IEEE-ISTO 4900 Digital IF Interoperability Standard (DIFI) and/or eCPRi
  • Working knowledge of RF system tradeoffs, link budgets, and SATCOM signal processing algorithms for multi-carrier systems
  • Working knowledge of communication networks and security within a zero-trust environment
  • Working knowledge of cloud computing platforms and protocols from Microsoft’s Azure or Amazon Web Services
  • Working knowledge of direct RF digitizers and 100 GbE
  • Experience in supporting Business Development activities including customer briefings or leading technical sections for large Government RFPs
  • Experience in Satellite Modem communication systems and technology
  • Active DoD Top Secret SCI clearance

Education

  • Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or related degree.
