This position is eligible for a remote or hybrid work schedule: Home -3 days/Office -2 days.


Tessco, a leader in the wireless industry, is currently looking for a Sales Account Manager - Utilities. Responsibilities include strengthening current customer relationships, generating new business from existing accounts and developing new business relationships within an assigned portfolio. The Account Manager will build sales strategies, collaborate with cross functional teams and identify industry trends to maximize business opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Enhance in-depth relationships with an assigned portfolio of customers to understand their needs and deliver valued solutions that generate cross-sales and revenue growth.
  • Manage a portfolio of customer relationships with a high frequency of quality contacts.
  • Target and create new customer opportunities by identifying key decision makers, executing on a strategic sales plan, and successfully positioningthe Tessco value proposition.
  • Develop a consultative relationship with a focus on total addressable opportunities through building value into the sale at all customer levels and with all opportunities.
  • Maintain a high level of activity to meet daily sales metrics and develop a healthy sales funnel.
  • Utilize Salesforce.com tools and Tessco systems to manage, track and develop customers.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue and profitability targets.
  • Engagement withTessco vendors and suppliers via training and individual interaction.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient relationship building skills on the phone, virtually and in-person.
  • Articulate, persuasive and influential communicator with high level active listening skills.
  • Strong strategic account planning and consultative selling competencies.
  • Professional presentation skills and highly developed interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with proven experience managing multiple, competing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Bachelor’s degree, or significant relevant experience.
  • 3-5 years sales experience, ideally selling into the Utility market.
  • Track record of successful revenue and profit generation year after year.
  • Working knowledge of MS word, excel and power point.
  • Salesforce.com experience a plus.
