The Business Department seeks a full-time, tenure-track faculty member in Economics at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor beginning in Fall 2024. This position seeks a candidate with education and experience to teach a broad range of economics and finance courses including Principles of Macroeconomics, Principles of Microeconomics, Money & Banking, Introduction to Finance, and Introduction to Personal Finance. This position will also work closely with the Bachelor's of Business Administration program and Business Professionals of America student club. Experience in course and program devleopment and a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in essential.

The primary focus of this position is teaching, and the ideal candidate is one who is committed to full-time, undergraduate teaching. Additional faculty responsibilities include student advisement, student outreach and recruitment, assessment for accreditation, course/program development, ongoing professional development, and university service. Civic engagement and a commitment to community service are strongly encouraged. Some coursework will be taught online, but this is an on-campus position and requires the selected candidate to be available to teach on campus. A typical teaching load for this position is 15 credit hours per semester.

Job Requirements:
  • An MS in Economics, Finance, or a related Master's degree is required.
  • A Ph.D. in an economics or finance related discipline is preferred.
  • The candidate should have excellent written, verbal, and digital communication skills and strong computer and information systems competencies.
  • Experience with instructional technology and simulation or problem-based instruction is preferred.
