Summary

Urban Renaissance Group is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented individual with strong analytical capabilities to support The Company’s real estate investment and development activities. In this capacity, the individual’s primary responsibilities will be to collaborate with the Acquisitions team to underwrite, perform complex financial modeling and manage all aspects of the pursuit of new investment and development opportunities in Seattle, Portland and Denver. This role will have exposure to capital partner, lender and broker relationships, requiring strong written and verbal communication skills. This person will work closely with team members from various groups within the organization. The individual may also assist in other areas of the company as necessary, including Asset Management.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Acquisitions team on pursuit of new investment opportunities in select markets
  • Underwrite new investments, including property cash flow modeling, debt financing and joint venture structuring (static pro-formas, IRRs, NPVs, sensitivity tables, promote waterfalls, etc.)
  • Oversee the due diligence process on potential new investments
  • Develop and maintain financial models
  • Perform and effectively analyze in-depth market research
  • Prepare formal Investment Committee memorandums and presentations describing potential new investments and participate in the presentations to the Investment Committee
  • Support the execution of business plans for new investments
  • Prepare complex analysis in support of client and firm requests
  • Work in collaboration with various departments (such as marketing, operations, accounting, etc.)
Skills + Abilities
  • Excellent analytical abilities / quantitative skills
  • Effective communication and business writing skills
  • Ability to work beyond the typical 40-hour work week with occasional weekends including travel
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Argus Enterprise a plus
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business with focus on Finance, Accounting, Real Estate or related field
  • Minimum 2-3 years Financial Analyst experience with exposure to Commercial Real Estate
  • Advanced financial analysis and modeling skills utilizing MS Excel
  • Outstanding organizational skills and ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks under pressure
  • Excellent critical thinking, judgment, strategic planning and problem-solving skills
  • Highly developed sense of responsibility and initiative
