Compensation:

The range displayed reflects the range the company reasonably expects to pay for the position. The actual compensation offered to the selected individual(s) will depend on their relevant education, training, or experience, among other bona fide factors.

Expected Minimum Pay Rate:
USD $22.50/Hr.

Expected Maximum Pay Rate:
USD $28.41/Hr.

Responsibilities:

What You Will Do

As a Banking Specialist you will perform a variety of routine, specialized administrative accounting functions under general supervision in support of assigned department. The role provides for the accurate and timely reconciliation of accounts including payments, refunds while maintaining and tracking information on a variety of spreadsheets, accounts and files. The Banking Specialist works with other accounting functions to process, audit and verify financial data and respond to inquiries.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Codes and enters a wide variety of financial data into computer systems and third-party websites
  • Reconciles, researches and resolves claims, customer refund requests, disputes and chargebacks in a timely and effective manner
  • Communicates with Marketing team, Raley's Service Center, Store Leaders and Customers regarding chargebacks, refunds and gift cards by phone and through email
  • Ensures that all refunds, card disputes and chargeback matters are dealt with effectively and timely - including case review / investigation, which may include chargeback processing, processing of financial adjustments to cardholder accounts, maintaining spreadsheets and preparing client/cardholder correspondence
  • Balances, reconciles and prepares general and subsidiary ledger accounts - including assisting in resolving out-of-balance conditions
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned

Must Haves

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. plus 1 to 3 years of banking or reconciliation experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • BS in Accounting or Business, preferred.
  • Experience with SAP or ERP system is a plus
  • General knowledge of accounting principles, understanding both sides of entries and the impact on financial statements.
  • Reconciliation procedures
  • Fundamental abilities in Excel and solid proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Work is performed in a business office environment. Occasional travel to outside locations or meetings.
