Description

Position Overview:

The Senior Client Executive will act as a liaison between external customers and internal departments. This role will be responsible for acquiring new business while servicing the needs of existing customers and onboarding new clients. Work to ensure clients receive exceptional service while the business's sales goals are supported. The SCE will work directly with clients as well as a collaborative, cross functional internal team that also work to support EMI's client activities. Develop and implement client service strategies that will increase sales while providing a positive experience for all clients.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Achieve sales targets to increase revenue and company profitability.
  • Prospect for new business opportunities and partner with other sales resources to ensure proper sales coverage.
  • Strengthen existing industry and customer relationships, while developing new relationships. Mastermind creative ways to deliver an exceptional client experience.
  • Interact with large, corporate clients to ascertain needs and provide recommendations for strategy and product solutions while building relationships with them while ensuring their needs are being met.
  • Resolve complex client problems or disputes in a professional manner.
  • Conduct ongoing analysis on current accounts and develop new revenue-increasing strategies.
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of client service protocols.
  • Coach and support team members to help them meet company business goals.
  • Effectively present, educate and discuss products and value-added services of the company.
  • Work all assigned accounts in portfolio and document all activity and customer information in designated software systems. Coordinate with other internal business partners as appropriate to support sales efforts including qualifying customers' needs, administrative support, and customer service.
  • Establish and maintain continuous communication with customers and design and manage activities and consistent follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction and strong business relationships.
  • Administer contract business ensuring that all signed contracts are completed as specified in the agreement. Actively attend and participate in sales meetings, customer visits, product seminars, trade shows and similar events and activities in assigned geographic territory.
  • Create monthly and quarterly reports to determine whether client KPIs are being met and create action plan for areas needing improvement.
  • Keep records and documentation of client interactions, utilizing company's specified technology and/or software.
  • Maintain knowledge of the metal and/or wood industry based on information disseminated internally in order to provide the highest level of service and market knowledge to customers.
  • Perform additional assignments in accordance with the Manager's direction.
  • Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Proven track record of sales goal attainment in a highly competitive environment.
  • Proven negotiation skills and creative selling ability.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to clearly convey information and ideas with customers and all levels of the organization.
  • Possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to gather and interpret information and use sound judgment.
  • Ability to successfully close on business and negotiate contracts.
  • Ability to overcome objections and persevere in the face of criticism, obstacles, and rejection.
  • Sense of urgency and ability to work effectively.
  • Innovative problem solver with the ability to gather and interpret information.
  • Ability to prioritize projects, accept responsibility and follow through without close supervision.
  • Basic knowledge of Salesforce (or other CRM tools) and PowerPoint preferred.
  • Travel up to 50% required.
  • Ability to speak a second language is a plus.
Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelors degree of higher in business or related field.
  • 5+ years prior experience in customer-facing roles, preferably in B2B food service or restaurants.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role is required.

  • The working conditions are in a normal office with occasional time on a manufacturing plant floor. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to dust and other particles found as part of the wood and metal manufacturing process. The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
