Who is PendoTECH? We are a Strategic Business Unit within Mettler-Toledo Process Analytics. Innovation is at the core of all pharmaceutical, biopharma and bioprocess applications. With extensive experience in the biopharmaceutical industry — and particular expertise in single-use bio-pharmaceutical equipment — PendoTECH delivers a line of pressure sensors, control systems and software for measuring, monitoring and data collection in bioprocess applications and other areas where the products provide a unique process solution. Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
As our Regional Sales Representative, you will be responsible for selling products (hardware and sensors) and single-use consumables in the biopharmaceutical markets. You will effectively sell a comprehensive portfolio consisting of low and high end capital equipment with short and long term sales cycles. You will be responsible for our large Western US territory, including all states west of the Mississippi River, and will ideally be located near the San Francisco Bay Area. You can expect at least 50% overnight travel. Your responsibilities will include:
- Calling on end users in the biopharmaceutical processing market.
- Making sure customers understand our products and their associated applications.
- Developing and implementing business/territory plans.
- Demonstrating competency in product demonstrations and application knowledge.
- Utilizing sales automation software for developing and tracking opportunities throughout the sales cycle.
What You Need to Succeed
- Bachelor's degree in a life science or engineering field is preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in selling into the bioprocessing marketplace.
- Comfortability working in a company that is a part of a larger organization, but one that has a startup feel.
- Ability to live within 1 hour of a major airport and travel overnight at least 50%.
