Overview ...:

Tipper Tie Regional Sales Representative sells and promotes Tipper Ties product lines within a predetermined geographical region. The position requires the person to use technical and application knowledge to drive customer sales purchase for Tipper Ties sales. The position also requires input and participation in sales planning and territory management. The person will promote and sell Tipper Tie products and services using ethical business practices, resulting in profitable revenue generation for Tipper Tie, Inc.

This position will be responsible for the Northeast States, which include the following states: ME, MA, NH, VT, NY, RI, CT, NJ, DE, MD, PA, OH

Secondary responsibilities include supporting all company activities in the region including technical support, product development, Sales Force funnel management and supplying information on market trends. Attend Regional and National Trades Shows and develop networking opportunities with other JBT divisions and co-suppliers.

The Opportunity ...:
  • Complete regular sales calls to develop relationships and foster long-term, ongoing, and repeat sales. Achieve specific sales quotes and goals as outlined for the region.
  • Ensure customer receives full value throughout the sales process from initial contact through post sale by total project management including Cost Analysis, Proposal Creation and Presentation, Order Obtainment and Processing, Installation Coordination and Follow Up.
  • Strategically deliver direct value through technical support when necessary.
  • Coordinate routine and advance technical support and service needs of territory with Technical Service Manager.
  • Prospect for New Opportunities within Existing Customer Base and New Markets. Work with Sales Director to develop account specific strategies to increase profitable sales within the defined region.
  • Complete required paperwork in a timely manner including SalesForce, Attendance, Monthly Sales, and Expense Reports.
  • Provide plant feedback for Key Accounts to the Sales Director. This includes potential upcoming projects, challenges with existing equipment, service or other so that TIPPER TIE can work to resolve.
  • Ensure feedback on Customer Care products such as parts, clips and service are documented and supplied to the Director of Sales.

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Engineering or equivalent work
  • Five years of experience managing a sales territory.
  • Previous experience in the sales or service of food processing equipment.
  • Well-developed communication skills, excellent customer relations and effective sales presentation skills.

Additional Preferred Education/Skills:

  • Basic Mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Computer competence including Email, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to utilize SalesForce and Tableau as sales tools.
  • Proven ability to work with minimum daily supervision.
  • Must be able to travel up to 80% of the time.
  • Must have or be able to obtain valid U.S. Drivers License and Passport or travel visa documents.
  • In-depth knowledge of target market industries.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to travel to customers sites and work in customers facilities.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time in cold, warm and/or wet environments.
  • Must be capable of operating standard office equipment including personal computers, I-pad, calculator, and telephone.
  • Must adhere to all safety rules and regulations when in any manufacturing facility including all OSHA and company specific policies.
  • Where required, must use Personal Protective Equipment including hearing and eye protection, footwear, and clothing.
  • Must be able to utilize standard means of transportation including travel by airplane, automobile, and train.
  • Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
