Job Title: Arvest Credit Card Merchant Relationship Advisor

Under the minimal direction of the ACC Regional Merchant Sales Manager, the ACC Merchant Relationship Advisor is responsible for developing new Merchant business, sourcing new sales opportunities from assigned local bank relationships, Treasury Management, and other strategic partner referrals, as well as internal and external networking opportunities. The incumbent will also ensure client satisfaction through value-added services and relationship retention. Responsibilities include performing the consultative sales process by leveraging their expertise with merchant services, related solutions, and other bank products and services. The incumbent primarily holds a sales position and must be able to use appropriate Arvest and processor resources to provide the required technical, problem-solving, and analytical skills to meet the overall service objectives. The incumbent is expected to travel in their assigned region up to 75% of the time.

What You Will Do at Arvest:

Execute Merchant Services sales and retention strategies in the assigned portfolio of bank customers and prospects to profitably grow the portfolio, including revenue, sales goal achievement, and client satisfaction. Assume relationship management responsibility for new and existing clients. Follow the Customer-Focused Banking (CFB) discipline and approach to client retention and development.

Use vital networking and relationship management skills, business acumen, and knowledge of the assigned markets to ensure client satisfaction with existing merchant accounts. Also, source new business opportunities and ensure the opportunities are pursued appropriately and efficiently. Leverage relationships with local banks business banking and branch sales teams, Treasury Management advisors, and other strategic partners to source new sales opportunities.

Work with existing clients to fulfill needs with value-added additional solutions. Drive incremental revenue to the bank via new account revenue and client retention.

Conduct portfolio and/or merchant profitability reviews to ensure profit is within acceptable margins.

Complete weekly call reporting details accurately and before weekly team calls.

Perform the end-to-end sales process independently, from cultivating and maintaining relationships to closing the deal, ensuring a seamless setup of merchant payment solutions. Support the merchant to use processor sales support, merchant support resources, and other self-service tools.

Provide expert advice to customers and prospects to optimize merchant services solutions supporting their business functions. Recommend best-in-class merchant services solutions that best fit their business and process efficiency.

Conduct annual retention visits with top-tier clients, including preparation, scheduling, and performance of an annual business review. Ensure effective communication with local bankers to ensure end-to-end relationship management. Business reviews include analysis of current account pricing, technology updates and business recommendations.

Develop strong relationships with strategic partners, including but not limited to Treasury Management and Business Bankers, regarding customer requirements to ensure a full range of appropriate solutions are delivered.

Attend industry-focused training opportunities to ensure product expertise. Leverage marketing programs and materials to present Merchant Services and generate sales opportunities effectively.

Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to completing compliance training and adhering to internal procedures and controls; reporting any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations; and reporting any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

Associate's Degree in a business-related field (Business, Finance, Marketing, etc.) or equivalent relevant experience required.

3 years of business/professional sales or marketing, business development, account management, fundraising/sponsorship/networking experience required.

Demonstrated knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint required.

Experience in retail financial services preferred.

ETA Certified Payment Professional (CPP) preferred.

Arvest experience preferred.

Relevant military experience is considered for veterans and transitioning service members.

Physical Demands:
