Summary

Tommys Administrative Boat Sales Assistants are responsible for all paperwork, advertising, posting, and communication within the sales department. The Administrative Boat Sales Assistant is responsible for gaining knowledge in all of Tommys departments and relaying that knowledge to customers as the visit Tommys or call in.

Essential duties and responsibilities

* Keep boat inventory accurately updated both online and in office

* Ensure the fleet is always show-quality clean both in and out of water

* Participate in the ordering and scheduling of new boat inventory

* Responsible for registering all boats for their warranty

* Responsible for registering and titling boats and trailers, providing paperwork to customer, and obtaining hull id numbers.

* Responsible for the preparation of purchase/ buyer agreements, as well as any Finance and Insurance paperwork.

* Maintain an organized filing system for new and used boats

* Proficiently interface with our boat and customer inventory via Dealership Advantage (dealer software)

* Attain a high level of knowledge regarding Malibu, Axis, used inventory and their features

* Promote the Tommys brand

* Listen to, and actively engage with qualified customers in order to find solutions that meet their specific watersports needs

* Stay connected with what is going on in the boat/watersport industry (events, contests, pro rider news) and passionately share this info with customers to generate interest in what we are selling

* Engage with Tommys service and pro shop customers

* Assist in hosting and facilitating events

* Any tasks required by manager

*Watersport:* Ability to learn the water sport industry, as well as learn how to use the products we sell and promote (surfing, skiing, etc.)

*Communication:* Able to interact professionally with colleagues, clients, and company personnel, able to clearly and effectively communicate information both orally and in writing

*Humility:* ability to honestly and openly communicate any mistakes or mishaps made and have the ability to learn from them.

Qualifications

* Computer Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office required. Experience with CounterPoint and Dealership Advantage preferred

* Boating/Watersport Experience: experience with boats required. Experience with watersports preferred
