We are seeking a full-time Institutional Equity Sales Associate immediately to work in our **Arlington, Virginia** office.

Candidate will be responsible for maintaining knowledge of B Riley research, offerings and services and have a clear understanding of the investment style and needs of clients. Also, the successful candidate must have the capability to generate revenue at levels exceeding goals determined by firm policies, practices and regulatory requirements. Strong communication skills are necessary as you will be expected to communicate investment ideas to institutional clients and our sales force.

**Duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:**

- Grow revenue by identifying and prospecting new institutional clients-i.e. marketing, sales calls, research distribution and analyst meetings, along with working with various internal groups to facilitate client request.

- Present Firm's research ideas/capabilities to clients.

- Develop and solidify relationships with clients.

- Manage, compile, update and maintain client data on a continuous basis.

- Daily responsibilities include prospecting, dissemination of published research, CRM data management, and preparation of spreadsheets and reports for clients.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Education, Experience, and Skills:**

- Bachelors or Master's Degree in Finance, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Demonstrated ability to understand and communicate equity market dynamics.

- Prior coverage of institutional equity managers a plus.

- Proactive, motivated, self-starter with an ability to work independently.

- Superior written and oral communication skills

- Strong work ethic and time management skills

- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

- Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7 & 63 licenses (required, may be obtained after hire)
