About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a Bermuda based Junior Algorithmic Trader to join our dynamic Investment team. In this role, you will be a cornerstone in the expansion and refinement of our investment trading, which spans cryptocurrency, public markets, and funds. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience from asset management and trading, with a proven track record of supporting fast-paced businesses and collaborating with various departments to streamline trading and operations.

What you'll be responsible for:

Cryptocurrency/Digital Assets and Public Markets

  • Control and monitor trading algorithms in cryptocurrency and public markets
  • Manage and execute high-value crypto spot, derivative and fiat transactions, ensuring rigorous due diligence for trades typically exceeding $1 million USD.
  • Oversee daily custody and trade support activities for cryptocurrency and public market instruments, ensuring seamless settlement and reconciliation processes.
  • Ensure the highest level of data accuracy within internal systems to facilitate daily and ad hoc reporting.
  • Assist the Operations Manager to manage the onboarding of new trading platforms and counterparties for trade execution and pre/post-trade compliance.
  • Develop and document robust operational workflows and controls for a scalable operations infrastructure.
General
  • Provide expert operational guidance within the firm as it relates to Investments and Trading.
  • Coordinate and respond to auditor inquiries, compiling detailed information on historical portfolio activities and internal controls.
  • Handle a steady stream of ad-hoc operations requests that require an inquisitive, thoughtful, and accurate approach to creative and timely resolution.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders across various groups including Investments, Trading, Platform, Legal, Accounting, and Security.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as an algo operator / trader, or working within a trading firm as a traders assistant
  • Bachelor's Degree required, advanced degree or certifications a plus.
  • Prior experience with cryptocurrency trading strongly desired.
  • Experience with coding, programming, and database management is a strong plus.
  • Strong track record of advancement/attainment in both academic and professional environments.
