JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Eberly College of Science finance office at The Pennsylvania State University is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Financial Associate (Intermediate Support) to join our team. The primary focus of this position will be to support the Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology (BMB) alongside other departments as needed, ensuring the smooth operation of financial functions and maintaining our commitment to excellent customer service. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
  • Assist and assure the timely reconciliation of pcard transactions.
  • Process travel reimbursements in SAP Concur for employees and visitors, adhering to University policies and procedures as well as funding source spending guidelines.
  • Process purchase orders in ShopOnLion and various punch out catalogs. Monitor good confirmation and manage procurement invoices, ensuring accurate and timely financial operations.
Education and Experience:

This position typically requires a High School Diploma or higher plus 3 years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

The successful candidate will have:
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on providing supportive and responsive service to departments.
  • A team player with a commitment to creating a positive and efficient working environment.
  • Knowledge of SAP Concur, ShopOnLion, and other financial systems is highly desirable.

The pay range for this position, including all possible grades is:

$38,300.00 - $55,500.00
