Essential Functions
These are the job duties required of the position.
Essential Functions
- Installs, maintains, alters, and repairs electrical and mechanical equipment to include power appliances, light machinery, electrical circuits using applicable hand and power tools.
- Installs electrical fixtures and appliances in newly constructed areas using a ladder as required.
- Locates and corrects failed power circuits.
- Performs electrical work on photoelectric cells, time clocks, electric heaters, air conditioners, motor generator sets, and air compressors.
- Oversees electrical work performed by lower level staff.
- Performs emergency repairs to elevators, generators, and other electrical equipment as required.
- Moves equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Uses a university vehicle to travel to various locations and transport materials.
- Utilizes a bucket truck or ariel lift as required.
- Regular and prompt attendance.
- Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required.
- Related duties as required.
