Position: Accounting Internship (Treasury) – Summer 2024 (May – Aug)

Location: Seneca Falls, NY (On-site)

Major: Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Junior or Senior is preferred)

Academic Schedule: May or August (Full-time, 40 hours per week)

About the Experience:

Our ITT Goulds Pumps internships have the unique opportunity to work for one of the most recognizable pump brands in the world. Under the general direction of finance leadership, you will be learning the fundamentals of success in a corporate accounting environment for a company that has locations in 35 countries. You will also assist our finance team in various accounting and financial tasks, such as bank account administration, cash management, issuance and management of letter of credit portfolio, and cash forecasting. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for students to gain practical experience and develop their skills in a professional setting.



Responsibilities

  • Assist with management of corporate cash receipts and disbursements by interacting with the business process owners and banks/vendors.
  • Support corporate cash forecasting and working capital initiatives
  • Provide corporate treasury with cash forecasting requirements
  • Assist with daily cash management for US Canadian and Euro currencies
  • Maintain documentation for banking relationships
  • Maintenance & administration of Stand-by Letter of Credit portfolio and Export Letters of Credit
  • Support the department with projects and corporate treasury initiatives
  • Help with ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned by the treasury team


Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration Required (Junior/Senior preferred, but not required)
  • Minimal to basic accounting/finance knowledge
  • PC Skills including MS Office, excel
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Enthusiastic, problem-solver, and a team player
  • Self-starter, resourceful, and able to adopt to a fast-paced environment
